About Hone Capital:

Hone Capital is looking for a Fund Accountant to join our Finance team.


Hone Capital was established in 2015 and has invested over $100M in early to growth stage startups in the technology sector, using our proprietary data-driven intelligence platform and our network of deep relationships with syndicate leads, sector experts, and VC firms. Among Hone’s 300+ investments to date are Boom, Carbon Black, Checkr, Blockstack, Roofstock, and Starsky Robotics.



  • AP and AR processing
  • Process employee expense reports and corporate credit cards payments and invoices using Tallie
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual Investor reports
  • Assist with annual audits and tax return filings
  • Record journal entries in QuickBooks for all operating and investing entities
  • Maintain professional working relationship with vendors
  • Maintain banking access with our four banks
  • Monthly reconciliation of all cash accounts
  • Filing of all deal, corporate, and legal documents
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
  • Liaising with our China office – Mandarin fluency not required
  • Act as Office Manager backup
  • Provide light admin support to the CFO and the VP of Finance



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline
  • 1-2 years of Fund Accounting with 2-3 total years of accounting work experience
  • Asset Management audit or tax experience a plus
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple form to non-finance users
  • Ability to manage, organize, prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including an excellent working knowledge of Excel
  • Have strong attention to detail, take initiative and have a professional and service minded approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to work alone as well as in a team setting
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and learn new tools
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
